The vibrant mosaic floor, once a source of pride and identity, now suffers from bulges, fractures, and detachment. This is due to the intense traffic and a new and sad custom. The emigrants who are leaving the country tear off pieces of the mosaic with the excuse of wanting to take a little piece of their country with them.
